New Service - Computer Based Training

JAH Web Development has recently completed an exciting new Computer Based Training (CBT) project and the results were even better than I could have hoped for!

Working alongside Mark-One-Media, we developed a training module consisting of an impressive 3D opening sequence, followed by animated slides with an audio voiceover and finally a selection of video interviews. An interactive test or quiz could have easily been added however it wasn't appropriate in this particular scenario.

Although this project was deployed via CD-ROM, developing a similar web-based version of the training module would be relatively straightforward.

If you think this exciting new service maybe of interest to you, please get in touch.

Review Your Analytics

Inline Image

It's important to review your website's visitor statistics on a regular basis, especially if you've recently changed your marketing strategy. Depending on the type of marketing you have carried out, you may be able to directly attribute visits to a particular marketing exercise.

Another useful statistic to keep your eye on is 'Top Exit Pages' - this tells you which pages your visitors are looking at before they either close their browser or go elsewhere. This report can be useful for identifying weaker pages on your website for which you may want to review and improve the existing content.

If you have any questions regarding your Google Analytics account, please let me know.

SEO Tip - Start a Blog!

Inline Image

Search engines love websites with frequently updated content, and adding a blog to your website that you can post to yourself is by far the easiest way to achieve this.

You can either setup the blog on a separate blog-style page (like the JAH WD Blog) or you can integrate the blog's content with your existing website template. You could for example list the most recent headlines in a box on your home page and this would automatically update whenever you post a new entry to your blog.

Please don't hesitate to contact us if you need any help or advice with regards to setting up your own blog.

Boost Traffic with Google Adwords

Inline Image

If you're looking for a quick way to boost targeted traffic to your website, you may want to consider advertising on Google with Google Adwords.

You could see your advert on the 1st page listed under 'Sponsored Links' and the best bit is that you only have to pay if someone actually clicks on your advert! This means you only pay for targeted leads who are interested in your business. The cost per click varies depending on how popular the advert's keywords are, but you can easily budget your advertising costs by setting a maximum spend per day and using a top-up account (like a mobile phone) so you never get any nasty surprise bills.

If you are interested in setting up Google Adwords and would like further advice plus a money off voucher (for new customers only), please let me know.
